BUNZL is a growing and successful group providing outsourcing solutions and value added distribution across the Americas, Europe and Australasia. Bunzl first entered the UK healthcare market with the acquisition of Shermond, a private company operating in the premium medical disposables business.

Bunzl supplies a comprehensive range of disposable healthcare consumables to the healthcare sector including hospitals, retirement and nursing homes and doctors' surgeries and clinics. Products include gloves, aprons, bandages, facemasks, gowns, headwear, mattress covers, overshoes, procedure packs, tapes, wipes, incontinence products and swabs.

Vend IT has been commissioned to design, build and integrate the Bunzl Healthcare e-commerce solution to offer customers leading brand and own brand medical consumables.

The Bunzl Healthcare E-Store will be launched in 2009.
